The simplest way to boost your efficiency is to look at tasks you repeat often and make them simpler. Then you automate what you can!
By removing any excess items or clutter from a space that you do not use repetitively, you will reduce the amount of time it takes to grab the exact item you need, use it, and put it right back into place. The less you have in a space – whether its on your desk, bathroom counter, or in your inbox, the quicker you’ll be at getting the task done.
Another step you can take to improve your efficiency of repetitive tasks is to automate, automate, automate.
For example, use software, apps, or plugins to automatically do work for you – you can think of it as having your very own personal assistant. If you write blog posts, then take the steps to automatically have them posts to social media outlets. You can also automatically send them thru some email service providers so the people who are signed up to receive your emails can get them hot off the press. When you are cleaning out your email, some email providers ask if you want trash over 30 days old to be automatically emptied – and some provide pre-sorting of your inbox.
Take the time to do a little research for automation tools for every single task you do repetitively, put them in place, and save yourself some time and energy. You may be surprised to find there’s more you can automate than just your bills.
You can even set some appliances to start while you are sleeping, or just before you wake up – like brewing your coffee, prepping your breakfast (just kidding, I wish!), or washing your dishes.
The more streamlined you can work and live, the more efficient your life will run.
